His Generation:20th February 2009

Sorry guys for late update....Hg started as usual last Friday Thanks Christina for worship leading. Thanks Jeffery for setting the Pa system.Well, we started a bout 4 o'clock and ended our meeting at 7 o'clock. We spent some time worshipping the Lord and praising Him. After worship, we spent some time praying for our friends.

Soon, pastor started preaching. He talks about the one of the 10 commandments that is "honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you" Exodus 20:12. This is the only commandment that come with a promise from God that is to have LONG LIFE!! Its really nice to have long life...everyone in this world want to have long life...

So, to have long life...we must obey and honour our parents. Its not easy...There are so many times I disobeyed and dishonoured my parents. Well, we have to ask for forgiveness from God if we break this commandment and try to follow it. By the way, the word Honour in Hebrew is weight or heaviness, but in Greek, it is know as to price, give value, and to reserve. If we combine these words togather, this is what we'll see. Honouring our parents is to give them weight by not taking them lightly and to price and value them..

There are so many ways we can honour our parents such as
1.Talk to them gently
2.Seek their advice
3.Say thank you, please, i'm sorry, ect.
4.invite them to eat and serve them at dinner table
5.Look them in the face when having a conversation
6.Stand up when older people talks to you
7.Be accountable by telling them where are you going, when are you coming home, ect.
8.Seek their permissons in everything that you want to do or to buy

To obey them is by:
1.Do as you are told
2.Do it quickly
3.Do the best you can
4.Do it without complaining

If we can do all these things...I belive that we'll have a long live and blessed by God because its not easy to do all these things. After the sermon, we cleaned the church. Everything went smoothly. Soon, we went to town city to have fellowship togather.

Here are some pics.
