A Cool Thing...

I know this is not a message but just stare and focus at this picture for at least 30-45 seconds... Then turn away to a white or light coloured wall... Who do you see... Leave it on the comment box...

The Patience Of The Lord

This is one of the things I've learnt from the sermons from the Baptist Church I attend at the morning...

Jesus is a master of patience because he created it... As we've seen, patience became a very useful asset for the Lord and his patience helped made him THE GREATEST MAN ALIVE...

I will lay down a few examples...

First of is his patience with us... Why? Simple, we've sinned hard against him which is equivalent to spitting on his face. I confess, in times of rage I couldn't control my anger and spoke very rude words to the Lord in my heart... Although scientifically inaudible, it was loud and clear for me and Jesus. Not only that but there are more dreadful sins I committed.. He could have stopped my heart during those moments for disrespect and blasphemy but he was PATIENT... The same thing goes for everyone of us, we sinners are alive not only because of his great love but also his PATIENCE...

Number two, his patience in his plans. His timing is always accurate... Example, Jesus created man when all dinosaurs were gone... What happens IF Jesus didn't have patience? A T-Rex could have easily swallow Adam and Eve and other dinosaurs could have killed off the human race.LOL... Also, he came down to earth during the golden age of The Roman Empire... Why, the Romans invented roads so it was more convenient for travelling and also Roman became a universal language at that time because the Romans control a big part of the world so His word can be easily translated and written down... He's also patient on creating us because I believe he had us, HG, our family, Pastor Koshy in mind before he created the earth and dinosaurs... Imagine if we had HG during the stone age, maybe it'll be fun dressing like Fred Flintstone but there won't be guitars, drums and no place to go makan... We have to go hunt down dinosaurs for dinner...LOL... So his PATIENCE gave us a lot of convenience...

Nombor tiga... He's patient EVEN with his ENEMIES... How? In the Garden of Gethsemane when the Romans came to arrest him, his disciples drew out their swords but Jesus was PATIENT and asked them to lower arms... At that time he could have easily called 1,000,000,000,000 ^230000 angels armed with lightsabers to protect him... He could have eradicate his pain and suffering while on the cross just be shutting down his pain receptors and come down from the cross but he was PATIENT!!!

So remeber my brothers and sisters, everything we enjoy today, all the technology, civilisation, healthy food source, healthy environment(which is dying) yadda yadda yadda that we enjoy today is because of his patience... So to be like him, we must be patient also. I need to be more patient with my sister, always annoy me...LOL... Patience also helps us stay away from trouble...

That's all folks...

His Generation:20th February 2009

Sorry guys for late update....Hg started as usual last Friday Thanks Christina for worship leading. Thanks Jeffery for setting the Pa system.Well, we started a bout 4 o'clock and ended our meeting at 7 o'clock. We spent some time worshipping the Lord and praising Him. After worship, we spent some time praying for our friends.

Soon, pastor started preaching. He talks about the one of the 10 commandments that is "honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you" Exodus 20:12. This is the only commandment that come with a promise from God that is to have LONG LIFE!! Its really nice to have long life...everyone in this world want to have long life...

So, to have long life...we must obey and honour our parents. Its not easy...There are so many times I disobeyed and dishonoured my parents. Well, we have to ask for forgiveness from God if we break this commandment and try to follow it. By the way, the word Honour in Hebrew is weight or heaviness, but in Greek, it is know as to price, give value, and to reserve. If we combine these words togather, this is what we'll see. Honouring our parents is to give them weight by not taking them lightly and to price and value them..

There are so many ways we can honour our parents such as
1.Talk to them gently
2.Seek their advice
3.Say thank you, please, i'm sorry, ect.
4.invite them to eat and serve them at dinner table
5.Look them in the face when having a conversation
6.Stand up when older people talks to you
7.Be accountable by telling them where are you going, when are you coming home, ect.
8.Seek their permissons in everything that you want to do or to buy

To obey them is by:
1.Do as you are told
2.Do it quickly
3.Do the best you can
4.Do it without complaining

If we can do all these things...I belive that we'll have a long live and blessed by God because its not easy to do all these things. After the sermon, we cleaned the church. Everything went smoothly. Soon, we went to town city to have fellowship togather.

Here are some pics.

An Offer We Can't Refuse

OK... It's about time I've posted something on the blog. I've been very sinful lately. i concentrated more on my school life than with God, thus I became more prone to sin and felt guilty. But this post helped me overcame my fear and pain. I hope it'll help ease your too...

How often we get a very good bargain... A 50% discount on guitars, a free bottle of milk when you buy cornflakes or getting free toys with McD Happy Meals... And I could not think of the best offer that I ever heard...

The offer was made a long time ago, Jesus sealed that offer with his blood.... And the offer is....

"I will give you an eternal and pure life...I will help clean up your life and make you pure before me... i will protect you with my arms and i will love you forever, I will NEVER abandon you... I will give you joy and peace... All I ask from you is to believe and trust in me"

Now that's an offer we can't refuse... Many people around the world signed the contract with Jesus but after a short time, that contract was suspended and became invalid... And when they face Judgement before the Lord who reluctantly rejects them... They say...

"I signed this contract, SEE!!! Sealed with my signature and your blood... It's a valid contract"

What's the use of a signature when the terms are not being carried out? It's just a piece of rubbish... Only a contract that has being signed and has the terms and conditions carried out is a true contract...

The same thing happens when you get a loan from the bank and buy a car... It's true the agreement is signed but if the terms are not met, the car will be taken away... Same thing when we ask Jesus for eternal life, we go home and do things that is equivalent to spitting at the contract... Then the eternal life promised by Jesus has been taken away...

I know none of us including me are perfect... Many of us have shocked each other with sinful confessions in HG... We have dark secrets kept from everyone but Jesus... Porn, masturbation, playing satanic games, getting involved with the occult... We feel the guilt because we know we are children of God and this is not what we are supposed to behave... The Lord knows our pain, he knows we want to get out of it... Well, the feeling of guilt confirms that you love the Lord, those who don't care about what they do are lost...

So have you been abiding by the terms and conditions of your contract with Jesus lately? Don't panic if you didn't... Just repent and The Lord will forgive you... If yes, well Praise the Lord because you serve him well..

HG update - 13 February 2009

Okay guys... Sorry this post took so long, I was too preoccupied with other stuff... Not really, I could post this a lot earlier but I still manage my time like I'm still in form 3... Enough, back to the topic...

Today we continued on the 10 Commandments... Today is the fourth commandment which is "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy". And before I forget, we had a drummer today... Nope, it ain't Witter or David...

It was IVAN!!!! Congrats!!!! It was his first time and he blended in well with the other musicians...

Down to the sermon. It is known that God created the earth, moon, galaxies etc etc in 6 days and rested on the 7th.. The 7th day is the Sabbath day and we are to rest on that day just as the Lord did... At first there was this voice in my heart "HAHA! an excuse to say I cannot study for one whole day, Must follow the bible" But the truth soon came to silence the naughty voice... We must work hard for the other 6 days. Pastor then explained to us about the details such as spending time with the Lord on your Sabbath day which isn't necessarily Friday or Sunday or you can break it to fragments such as Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Thursday night to make up for being undable to make the Sabbath day a single day... Then we are told about studying hard on the other 6 days and we ventured of into other related subtopics...

So remeber guys, we need to study hard although honestly, I say this will be very very challenging to us especially those who hates studying like me... But honour God and he will honour you...

Listening attentively...

What is Christina doing... Don't ask me

No comments...zzzz... i was either sneezing or laughing out hard... Haiz

Have a pleasant week and God bless...

His Generation:Picture Of The Week

Pastor Koshy : Ok Lord,I'm ready to serve you at anytime, pumped up and ready to go !!!

Something to share...

Hey guys...its been almost a month now since i've left malaysia...well what can i say about this new place that i am...When i see and think back about His Generation, i can tell you this...you guys are so much on fire, so much more fortunate, so much more blessed than what i am experiencing now...

You may think that US is a christian based community but it isn't...and even the christian community itself, i can say that, they don't take God seriously...Christianity is like a culture to them...if you don't put all your heart in it, its ok...thats what most people will think...You know, i just wish that i can drag each of you here to let them see, how serious we are into God, how fire up we are to worship him and how God has changed you all...

I'm been attending Assembly of God church...(to Ps.Koshy, sry for not replying on your email...just to let you know that i didn't attend the churches you recommended to me, which i really want to, but all of them are pretty far away from where i live, and i found this church good and has the concept of the DNA in it...) The morning service was powerful and the Ps. of the church really do touch on things that are very relevant to the americans, for example: divorce, swearing and stuff like that...but i'm also attending their Youth Group...and it is something so, sad to see...well i'm happy that they have a huge attendance but but some of them were not fired up...its just being there for the sake of being there...i'm not telling all this negative things to compare that you guys are better and they are not...i'm telling you this, so that you realize how important it is to be close and be serious to God...and also i'm telling you this so that you can pray for the youth group here...this is my request...

The worship...the worship i notice, that God anointing on them was very low...most of them was not playing for him but rather doing it , again, just to do it...So musicians, take this, it is very very very very important...if you don't have the heart to serve in what you are doing, DON"T DO IT...its better not to serve than serving with a heart which is not right and cause the anointing of God to disappear...

Despite all this, you may say, why not change to another church? But God told me something...I had a calling from Him...that i am there to make a difference...to change it...and i believe that i can open their eyes and let them see the true glory of God...to run to the alter and catch the fire, and bring glory to his name in the Youth Group that i am attending...and i am determine, by God's grace introduce and share to them the DNA of a person, ministry etc...All this is possible but it takes time...i mean no Youth Group in the world will let someone new and let him be in charge of everything and let him take control...i need time, and also wisdom and guidance from God...and most importantly your prayers...I hope that you can pray for me to do something in their ministry and also pray for the ministry itself...

So guys, always remember that, God is working in you...God is answering your prayers, if you think God is not doing anything in His Generation, you are so so so so wrong...i think God is doing so much more in His Generation compared to so many other Youth Groups around...Grow in the Lord and make full use of the time and experience in His Generation...what God through Ps.Koshy has taught me, has prepare me for where i am now...without those things that i have learn, there is no way i'm still standing today, writing this message to you...

and yes one more very very very important thing, please please keep this blog alive and updated, i know some of you are very busy, so was i during the time i was the admin, but i tried to find time to update it...this blog isn't just any blog...its a form of service...and you guys know as clearly as me, when you serve, you give your very best...so please do give your very best to God through this blog...don't waste all the effort Jeffery and me had put into it...the whole HG community is depending on you guys (admins and bloggers) so, take it seriously ya...

and all the best, God bless... ;)

6th January 2009

Today's worship session led by Jeffery and back-up, Christina. Thanks to all musicians for today! After the worship session, 2 minutes break for some water. After that, we spilt into 3 groups, CHWS, SMKSS and College group. We prayed for our schools/college and everybody in the school. As for Jeffery who got no school or college and working, he prayed brothers and sisters who went to US.

Today, pastor shares a powerful message about the 3rd commandment : You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God.

What's about the wrongful use of God's name? Things such as swears, rude words slangs and to work out evil things.

When you swear, don't use "In the name of Jesus, I bla bla bla" it's wrong! But, if you think it's hard to change this habit, try not to swear. Refuses to swear is the best solution. Rude words are also another one. Slangs like "Oh my God/Gawd", "Oh Jesus Christ!", and "For Christ/Pete/God's sake" is other way of insulting God. What you feel if somebody shouted your name when they are angry. For example, they spilled their drinks and scream "Oh Jeffery!!!ChoonKhai!!" . It might sounds funny at first, but after for long time, what it feels? "What the hell/heck" is another spiritual word we shouldn't use. Hell is real and it's not something to play with!

Using God's name to do bad things, just like saying Jesus is your saviour and all the day, you did bad things. Or, planning a crime, and added God's name to cover up your works. How about I did something evil and used your name? It's a cruel thing to do to someone. If it's cruel to human, how about a living God?

There's a study of the attitudes of Christians and non-Christians. Guess what? The studies shows that Christians showed no difference compared with non-Christians. There were cases where Christians are much more worse than non-Christians. We are Christians by name but we didn't show the difference of Christianity. So, what's the point you keep praising God in the church but when you went to outside, all rude words keep flying out from your mouth. Brothers ans sisters, Christian is the religion which is not to show off. Our last HG brother,Ping Keat, when he was asked what makes you accepted Christ? He said, Su Peen and Pang Tsen showed something different in them and their life. He got interested with Su Peen and Pang Tsen's God who shapes their great attitudes and life.

After the sermon, we sang Majesty and have some prayers for those who want to repent from those sins.
