Last week, His Generation have our youth fellowship again. =D For this week!! Ee June as worship leader and Witton backing up June! Kent and Witton were the guitarist. Andy as the bassist and Witter da drummer! Thank you for wonderful worship session. XD
After the worship session, we prayed for all His Generation's seniors which had left for further studies. Yea, pls do pray for them. Pray for God's blessing and protection to be with them. Then we prayed for Bro David!! Yea, David's going for a mission trip in Laos and needs prayer. Pls do pray for our brother cause Laos is a dangerous country where chrsitians were persecuted. Pls do pray for Sis Kuria too as she is leaving to Laos to do mission too. Keep them in prayer everyday.
Soon, pastor starts giving announcement. Ps. Koshy will not be in KT this week and The Scripture Union team will be sharing this week on the 10th of July. Sis Julia will be back to share her exprience too. Then our too brothers which are Kean Hui and Witter shared about their exprience in their university. Well, bro Kean Hui shared 1st. He says, to study and gain knowledge is not about reading books. Its about your attitude. Its about your will to study. So lets get our attitude right.
Kean Hui also talks about prayer. Before we study, we need to pray. Before the teacher starts teaching, we need to pray. Ask God to enable you to absorb and understand every knowledge given by our teacher. Prayer is not enough. We need to give full concentration and must not be distracted by other things. Then we had some fun and games hosted by Kean Hui. After he shared, he gave us some words of encouragement and a piece of paper filled with bible verse.
Why must we study?
- Its our responsiblity
-Our parents work hard to give us education
-Its a privillage from God that we can have education
-Other people in the world are not educated especially people in poor country
-For a better future
-To show that we had done our best in examination (Fail or pass, all glory goes to God =D)
-To reduce stress from our parents
-Its an order from our parents (Honour your father and mother, so that you may live long in the
land the Lord your God is giving you)
-To be well diciplined
-To prepare ourself to face the world
After that, its Witter's turn. Well, basiclly he gave a long lecture =D. But it helps a lot!! He talks about his daily study routine during examination in university. He shared his failure in SPM. Even the teachers mocked him. So, how he deal with this? Its through insults from teachers and friends. Yea, he never gave up and he want to show to everyone that he's the best. So, what he does is study everyday. He said that prayer is important too. Because of his perserverense and determination to be the best, He scored with flying colour in his STPM and was awarded the best student in SMKSS.
About gaming. Hmm, all i can say is delete it right now and reinstall after SPM, PMR and STPM. These addictive games will just help you to reduce stress awhile but in the end, you'll have to face your examintion. Guys, these major examinations are taken only once a year. So, give it your best shot by working hard for it. If I can quit Dota, I'm very sure you all can do it too.

UPDATES!!!
Wah...I didn't update for 2 weeks, sorry guys. Here's the update for 5th June. Worship was lead by me. Thanks guys for playing the instruments for me..really appreciate it. After worship, we all gather in a circle. Guess what, sermon was shared by CARRIE WONG!! Thanks Carrie for sharing. Really appreciate it.
Carrie shared bout the 9th commandment that is Thou shalt not bear false witness againts thy neighbour(KJV). The meaning of this commandment simply means you shall not lie. Yea, lying is bad. In this world, this sin has spread so fast. I mean, who has not lied before? Even I had lied to my parents, brothers, friends and teachers but not to pastor la...hehe
Anyway, we has to deal with this sin. We'll find troubles if we didn't deal with it. Breaking God's commandment is like bangging your head on a concrete wall!! When we are in the court, as a witness. We should not give fasle statement or creating a fake story. Its wrong in the eyes of God.
Another thing is white and black lies. For your information, there is no such things about white and black lies. Its still the same. So for those who did such sins, pls ask God for forgiveness. After having some time of sharing, the session was ended by a prayer. We ask for forgiveness from God.
Soon, we cleaned the sanctuary. After cleaning, we went home. Everything went well that day. Praise the Lord. Thanks again sister Carrie Wong for sharing ^_^

Stone and Sponge....
I'm very aware this is the first "message post" in many many months. It took time for me to regain my confidence after my faith was slightly bombarded.... Here goes...
There are two types of Christians in the world today. I group them as the sponge and the stone....
The stones....
Imagine the world of Christianity is water. You have the holy spirit, the bible, the priests and the churches. All Christians are surrounded by these elements just like how the water surrounds the stone YET Christianity fails to penetrate the many people despite being surrounded by it.
A person with a heart of stone can be surrounded by Christ for centuries and ignore Him due to excessive pride. Take the Egyptian Pharaoh for example. The Lord sent many painful plagues which caused the Egyptian empire costly yet his heart remained hard.
By connecting the dots, it can be said that they can only see and feel Christ when it is too late that is when they are sent to hell to be incinerated and destroyed much in the same way the water can only penetrate the heart of the stone only when it is broken apart and destroyed.
An example of a stone Christian might be someone who goes to church every week and maybe plays instruments or sings in the church. Could be leading a cell group. At home or at school, he yells at parents and friends and curses. He or she might use the same drums or guitar he uses at the church to play demonic metal. He only reads his bible at church and leaves it to collect dust at home.
The sponges...
There are very few of these "exceptional" Christians who are "sponges". However it is these very few men and women who enabled Christianity to survive up to this day.
The sponges are people who humble themselves and allow Christ to come in much like how the sponge is hollow and allows water penetrate. They read the bible frequently thus allowing them to absorb the word of God like a sponge. Any impurity is forced and squeezed out. Like how the sponge absorbs water and soap and releases it to clean someone, a good Christian receives the word of God and preaches it out.
Unfortunately with the world changing radically the number of sponges are decreasing. Porn and masturbation is no longer considered as sin. Law and order is replaced by corruption and the Bible once thought to be the TRUTH of all things is now considered a big joke.
It's now time to question yourself what Christian are you. A sponge of stone? It's time to stop acting and wake up.
I confess. I am still partly a stone. Maybe a big part of me remains a stone. You know what I need, I am crying out for help. I never am happy with my current state. The smile and laugh is only skin thick. My current joy makes me remain at a gloomy world. Only with Christ can I fly to somewhere else.

HG Update: 22 May 2009
The worship leader for this week was Christina. We had a surprise visit from our beloved Clement who went AWOL for at least a year... NAH JK JK... On drums as usual abang Witter, on keyboards is Clement, On guitars is Andy, myself and Willert and last but not least Jason on the bass.
The sermon for this week was brought up by Aunty Dorcas and it concerns the commandment "You Shall Not Steal". We first shed some light on things we think it's okay but is actually stealing such as bringing in stationery from the office or picking up money you see lying on the floor.
Then we came to the focus of the sermon. Paying tithes/offering. As greedy men, we rationalize with this commandment although paying less tithes or not paying tithes is considered stealing from God. Aunty Dorcas suggested the moment we receive ang pow or pocket money, 10% must be given to the Lord. At that moment,I wrestled with the beast in me saying
"Wei Lim, you're just a kid still studying. You're not receiving money officially. Therefore, paying tithes is not necessary. Pay tithes ONLY when you get a job."
For a moment I thought it was a good idea. To be honest, I still think it's a good idea to pay tithes only when you're working. That shows what a greedy brute I am.
Then several arguements came out such as economic meltdown, medical issues, hard times. To answer these arguements, Pastor Koshy stood up and read a verse from the bible, I forgotten which.
"If you love me, you will obey my commands."
That shows us how shallow most christians are. Our love for God is just skin thick. I finally found out I've been fooling everyone with a pathetic mask and ended up playing for the worship team. To God, he sees me as a disgusting hypocrite. I would need your prayers.
I believe there's a lesson here for all of us. Not just within the commandment.

Today, Willert led the worship session! Thanks for the back-up singers, June and Christina for backing up with their wonderful voices! XD Thanks for Jeffery, Jason and Kent for skills in guitar =D and not forgetting , Witter the drummer!
Haha, the worship session started at 4.15pm which was a bit late lah , =P After the worship session, there was a prayer request for Rev. Peter Chin who went for surgery at five.
Five minutes break after the prayer, Pastor gave us a booklet of Global Day of Prayer You can go to http://www.globaldayofprayer.com/ for more info. =)
Today , Pastor talked about adultery. Leviticus 18 tells us there're different type of adultery such as incest, gay and lesbian, and sexual relation with animals. We must never have sexual relation with our parents, close relative and anybody who are blood related to us. It's incest.
If we're married, we cannot take our wife's sister as our wife if our wife still alive. One thing about our wife lol, do not have sexual relation when she's in her monthly period. You make yourself unclean. (What unclean means here btw? explanation plox XD)
Pre-marital sex also one of it. It happens around, might not here but other more-urban places.
And also do not have sexual relation with other men's wife, you will be unclean. One weird one, do not sacrifice your children to Molech. I think now, nobody know who's Molech. =) Well, this tells us the Lord is only our God.
We must not have sexual relation with animals, it's not natural. Do not have sexxual relation with same side sex, it's the sin God hated. It's mentioned in Leviticus 18:22, it stressed that God really hate it.
So, don't make yourself unclean with these sins. God will separate those who did this hated sins from His people! =D

Prayer Needed
Pastor Peter Chin from Ipoh is in ICU now
Fainted at his house yesterday night
And was said that there's blood in the brain
However, they did an operation on draining out the blood,
The pressure now is lowered and considered stable
Doctor says that he's still now under observation
Might need another drain out if the pressure remains high
Please pray for the pressure to continue lower down and stabilized
Do uphold him in prayers

Cause couldnt really identify whether there are damages or not till he wakes up.. =）
