30th January 2009

Well..today..We started around 4.00 to 6.30. Yeah, I worship lead today. Thanks to all the musicians especially Jeffery, June, n Witter for helping me. After worshipping the Lord..we prayed for the alumni (graduates from HG)...Then we spent time praying in tongue loudly for our friends ^_^

Today, pastor shared about the second commandment that is you shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below (Exodus 20:4)..Pastor also talk about (Exodus 20:5) Yous shall not bow down to them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generation to those who love me and keep my commandments.

Well...forming an idol is not exactly forming a statue to worship ...it can be our games, success, money, gf or bf...anything can be our God. Of course playing games, dreaming of success, earning money and having a bf or gf is not wrong...
but sometimes, we tend to put these things first than God...and God hates it...In everything we do, we have to put God first. If we dream of money or playing games, ect, everyday, we are actually forming an idol and we're worshipping them.

Many Christians has fallen into these sins because they are unaware. We need to ask for forgiveness from God. The end times are coming, we cant play with sins anymore. We have to be more aware of these sins...

After the sermon...we form many groups...2 person in a group, sharing our sins and seek for forgiveness from God. Then pastor prayed for us then we closed our meeting...everything went
smoothly today..thank God

TO ALL VISITORS OF THIS BLOG AND MEMBERS OF HIS GENERATION.WE WANT TO WISH YOU ALL A
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

an offer we can't refuse

How often we get a very good bargain... A 50% discount on guitars, a free bottle of milk when you buy cornflakes or getting free toys with McD Happy Meals... And I could not think of the best offer that I ever heard...

The offer was made a long time ago, Jesus sealed that offer with his blood.... And the offer is....

"I will give you an eternal and pure life...I will help clean up your life and make you pure before me... i will protect you with my arms and i will love you forever, I will NEVER abandon you... I will give you joy and peace... All I ask from you is to believe and trust in me"

Now that's an offer we can't refuse... Many people around the world signed the contract with Jesus but after a short time, that contract was suspended and became invalid... And when they face Judgement before the Lord who reluctantly rejects them... They say...

"I signed this contract, SEE!!! Sealed with my signature and your blood... It's a valid contract"

What's the use of a signature when the terms are not being carried out? It's just a piece of rubbish... Only a contract that has being signed and has the terms and conditions carried out is a true contract...

The same thing happens when you get a loan from the bank and buy a car... It's true the agreement is signed but if the terms are not met, the car will be taken away... Same thing when we ask Jesus for eternal life, we go home and do things that is equivalent to spitting at the contract... Then the eternal life promised by Jesus has been taken away...

I know none of us including me are perfect... Many of us have shocked each other with sinful confessions in HG... We have dark secrets kept from everyone but Jesus... Porn, masturbation, playing satanic games, getting involved with the occult... We feel the guilt because we know we are children of God and this is not what we are supposed to behave... The Lord knows our pain, he knows we want to get out of it... Well, the feeling of guilt confirms that you love the Lord, those who don't care about what they do are lost...

So have you been abiding by the terms and conditions of your contract with Jesus?

16th January 2009

Today, we started our youth session at 4.15 to 6.45+ which was unusual because we normally start earlier than that. This worship session was led by Jeffery and followed by Christina and me.

After the worship session, 5 minutes break and Pastor Koshy spoke about the Ten Commandments which everybody needed to follow including non-Christian. The Lord Himself wrote the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone with His own finger and gave to Moses to deliver this commandments to everybody. For the story , click here (NOTE: It's in pdf file and you need Acrobat Reader to open it.)

Today, Pastor talked about the first commandment,

"Worship no god but me" Exodus 20:3.

It's also a problem to many Chrsitians where they made other thing first than God. Example, gf/ bf, their biggest dream, computer games and other things. When his gf said, lets go watch movie ,no need go youth for just one day. He said okay. That means for him, God is less important than his gf. His gf became his "God" lol Same goes to dream/wish or computer games. Wait , Fear also can be your "God".

They unwilling to give it away, and even to spend time with God. Other things became their god.

When their "God" fall, like gf/bf involved in the accident, computer games being kept by mum, and failed in achieving you dream, Their life will fall apart and they feel that no use to live in this world anymore. That's why many people suicide each year.

After the sermon, Pastor prayed for the one who got this problem. The rest praying for Jim, David, Rebecca, and Eu Jeen who went to US

9th January 2009

As usual, we had our youth session on Friday, 3.30 to around 6.. The worship was led by Jim, together with the other musicians. Its indeed nice to see younger youth to pick up instruments and play in the team and yes! Well done to you Kent! =)

The session starts off with Jim giving his "last speech" before he leaves us for US.. and yes.. Its been really great working and tag along side with him thee few years.. I believe he had indeed been a great blessing to many of us.. We'll not only miss him but will also keep him in prayer =) And of course.. Not just Jim, but everyone of you.. We *heart* every single one of you! <3 XD

The session of the day was more to a session of Q&A.. There were questions like "Is birth control allowed", "Why God sweep off everyone in the whole town" and we did touched a lil on BGR in relation to the birth control thingy and also looked into the scripture in regarding to the answers for questions popped up.. I believe most of those who went to yf that day learnt a lot, some of them were so semangat in asking questions XD *good good.. XD*

Soon after that, we had a time of worship and I personally thinks that its great.. I enjoyed the presence of the Lord and believing that He was dealing and touching some one us deeply..

I shall end with a few quotes from the bible which really encouraged me a lot for the past few days, and I pray that you'll have a pleasant week with the Lord and see you again on Friday! =)

Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
"The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!
- Psalm 118:15

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
- Philippians 4 : 4

Pls : Do read the whole Psalms 118 if you have time to do so, its really a beautiful and encouraging Psalm.. *Peace* V(^_^)V

His Generation Updates...

Hey, sry to make you guys wait...Better late than never aye?
Anyway before I proceed further, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR...hope i'm not too late to wish you all...
But anyway, I will combine the two weeks of His Generation into this post. Would be easier for me :)

Well on the 26th of December, I lead in worship. Songs are.......erm,can't really remember...Sry.
That week we had open sharing as Ps. Koshy wasn't around...And it was pretty interesting...We learn a new way to say...erm rephrase, sing grace...Thanks to Eric for teaching us to sing "Thank you for this good good food :)" Can't really remember the whole song :P

And we had also really good testimonies from Eric himself and also Kean Hui. Not forgetting Jeffery who shared about his experience in the ESP camp. Both Eric and Kean Hui sharing was really encouraging. Its amazing how God really build a person up like Eric, Jeffery and Kean Hui. How God use these people to make a great different in their own places and also to see no matter where we are, no matter how far we are from civilization, no matter how secluded we are, God is still there with us and He is there to lead us and to use us for the glory of his Kingdom.

Really appreciate what you have shared to us, and hope that all of us can learn something from it. Amen :)

Now for this week, Jeffery lead us in worship and the songs were, One Way Jesus, Tell the World, Hosanna and How Great is Our God...
And this week, Ps. Koshy spoke about 'Gaming' and also other issues which most youths today are being addicted to it. About how this things (games, movies etc) can bring someones faith to the ground. How it can destroys our own life and worst others as well. About how these things can tear us away from the love of God. Sometimes we do not realize about this things, but the reality is that, it is there and it is real. The real world that we are living in here is way worst than we think it is. Sometimes we see the movies where the world is like tearing itself apart and we think 'this is not real! Our world is not like this.' But sadly to say that it is like this. In some countries, situations are worst than what we think. It is not the game or the movie that causes all this, but it is what it is inside it...We might think it is ridiculous but its just like a deadly weapon which influence the mind slowly.

Hmmmm....how to overcome this? It is the truth that can help us go through all this. The divine truth that God has given to us, that God has entrusted to us...The truth of life, the truth of His love to us, the truth about good and evil.
The BIBLE! Thats the truth. That is why it is so important that we are enrich with the word, with the truth so that we can know what is good or bad. The world now want us to think that there is no right or wrong, that everything is okay. But it is not OK, its worse than OK. So guys, brothers and sisters, take this challenge and do be rich in the word. Always keep this questions in mind. Are the things that I am doing is helping me? are these things going to spoil someone else? are these things beneficial to me?
And always remember, IF you are NOT sure on doing anything, DON'T do it...cause its better ending up not doing it rather than ending up regretting doing it.

Well i think thats all...its kind of deep but no harm done but rather a good guidance for us aye?

After the sermon, we had prayer for myself and also David Lin who both are going to the states.

Will see you next week, if i'm still here (i hope to be) If not will see you in another 6 months :)
Chaoz...

Got something wrong uploading the pics...will try it again later...
