Why is it so dark?

There will be times where we are plagued with sadness and negativity. We always ask ourselves, if God loves us, why can't we live life like a bed of roses?

It's simple, We have bad times as a punishment for sin. Our wise and loving God will NEVER punish us for no reason. We are not to backslide because of the thought that God no longer loves us but ask for forgiveness from him and continue our walk with God. Jesus, being a father is like our regular parent, punishing us for our own good.

But sometimes we ask ourselves. Why is my friend living life like a bed of roses although he sins? Does God love them more? The answer is no, Jesus is the ultimate judge for all aspects. Maybe my friend has certain virtues. Example, he watches porn but he honors and submits to his parents or he never tells lies. There is always a reasonable and acceptable answer behind every hardship we endure.

So whenever bad times come, never take your frustration onto Jesus but repent and continue serving him. Never give up on God, just like he never gave up on his children, even the sinners. So repent and we will see our cup overflown with joy and goodness.
