WhAt Do3S h3 WanTs FrOm Us...

Living a christian life is not just worshiping him, reading your bible or just being good and obedient to God...living a christian life is much more than that...When Jesus came to save us, he wasn't just praying, worshiping God or doing good deeds...he save the WHOLE NATION!!! He did not look from where we are or who we are...he look unto us as one, CHILDREN OF GOD...and ANYONE can be His child....again, God save the whole nation...and he wants us to tell that to the whole nation of this very own earth...Jesus called us...he called us to tell this good news to others...he told us to glorify his name...Question is, how can we glorify his name if we are not even talking about him or going out from our comfort zone...
"are u asking me to go for mission?" you may ask...NO! doing what God wants us to do is not just only going for mission...its just spreading the news....There are many people out there suffering and are desperate of love...they do not know Jesus...they do not know how is it to feel peace with God by our side, and it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to tell them about Jesus...IT IS OUR CALLING!!!!

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age ~ Matthew 28:19, 20

Jesus said 'My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.~ John 4:34

For the Son of Man has come to seek and save that which was lost.~ Luke 19:10

So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you."~ John 20:21

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.~ 2 Corinthians 5:9

...and He (Jesus) died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:15

Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:11

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.~ 2 Timothy 2:2

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. ~ 1 Peter 2:9

PrAy3R

We watched the video about children praying for nations, and how passionately they prayed and how fire up they were....its also important that we know by prayer, all things are POSSIBLE...As a response to the video, here are some bible quotes on prayer....

Bible quotes regarding prayer...

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it, and it will be yours.~ Mark 11:22, 24

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."~ Jeremiah 29:11-12.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.~ Psalm 118:8

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.~ Romans 12:12

And pray that we may be delivered from the wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.~ 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3

Build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.~ Jude 20-21

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.~ Matthew 26:41

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.~ Matthew 6:6

HiS G3n3RaTiOn - 2nd MaY 2008

Hi to all again...and welcome back HIS GENERATION!!!!!!

Its was another blessed day really, and i can say every week in His Generation, we definately learn new things in God....why? later u will know....

Let me start of with the worship....we got OCH leading us...YEA!!!! Seldom see him leading and he did just great today with E June improving week by week! Praise God for that....Caleb was away so as Julia, who was on the drums??? DAVID LIN WEI SOON all the way from Taylor's college...hehehe...not bad lah...so long no play drums still can play well...."we can do all things with God on our side"....This weeks song are, Shine, Jesus, Shine...Lord I lift your name on high and How great is our God...

After worship, we were shown 2 videos concerning a program which shows children as young as 7-10 years of age praying really really passionately for the nations all around the world...the video really really touched me...and it also make people realized how powerful prayer can be...most of the times we pray basically for ourselves...but through the video, i learned that praying for other is definately important...as children in one body we should and must support each and everyone, one way by doing that is to pray...another thing that i think its really important is that prayer can change life....we prayer NOTHING is IMPOSIBLE!

After watching the video, we were given a message by Elder Lim...the message was based on the book of Jonah...all 4 chapter that is...through the message, i think all of us learn something very very important...i'll go straight to the points given by Elder Lim, if dun understand, please read Jonah chapter 1...
The very main point that Elder lim told us, is that, we MUST know God...Sometimes we take God for granted...It is time for us NOW! to get serious with God so that God will be serious with us...knowing God is important so that God may also know you...Most of people think that by doing good deeds and serving God will give us the ticket to heaven... the only answer God will give to those who thinks like that is "Go away, I do not know you.." scary isn't it, to hear tell you that way...that is why, we must put God first...DO what he wants us to do and DO not run away from his commands...oh ya one more very important thing is, the Good News is for all...not only Christian but FOR ALL! We as fellow christians are ask/commanded to make deciples of all nations by God...the question is "are we really doing it?" think about it...and let you yourself decide...

After the serment, OCH gave us a few annoucement and HG ended...and here is one IMPORTANT thing to remember....on the 16th Of May,we will be having TELEMATCH!!!!! so please DO COME! details are as below,

Venue - SMK Chung Hwa Wei Sin

OuR Pl@c3 In Th3 BoDy...

This advice can also be a response to what Julia had shared in her message last week :)

Have you ever heard an orchestra "tuning up" before a big performance? Musicians practicing individually all together sounds like utter chaos. But, when the director comes out, every musician comes to a quiet attention. On signal, the group begins to play the piece of music laid out for them on their stands. Music that is well "orchestrated" can be a beautiful thing to hear.

In many ways, the church is like an orchestra. Just as an orchestra is composed of a variety of musicians, the church-body is made up of many members. And, as in an orchestra, each member of the church does not "play" the same part. But, as in an orchestra, each member does "belong to all the others"; Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who have many form one body and each members belongs to all the other members.(Rom. 12:4-5). When members of the church unite themselves in the singular purpose of glorifying God, what is seen and heard is more than inspiring. What comes forth pleases God and points people outside of Christ to the Father.

How important are you to the Lord's church? Imagine what it would be like, if, while performing, one or two musicians in an orchestra decided not to play, even for but a minute. The silence they would create would be "deafening." A needed part would not be heard.

An important theme in the musical piece could not be completed without their help. So it is in the Lord's church. There are works that God has planned for His children to do. And, when even one Christian decides not to be a part of His plan, something gets left out; someone does not hear the Gospel; needy fail to receive help: lonely ones go without encouragement.

Have you ever wondered why God gave you the talents that He did? Do you think there is any divine purpose for you being who you are and living where you live? There is a purpose. There is a plan. And, when you give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, you are participating in the wonderful work of the Almighty Designer! You are participating in God's divine agenda. And not only that, Paul tells us that when you do your part in the work of the church, the body of Christ will most definitely grow. You can count on it; from him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and build itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Eph. 4:16). Remember: your work does count! Your service does make a difference. There is an important work for you to do in the body of Christ!

35 ReASoNs NoT To SiN....

  1. Because a little sin leads to more sin.
  2. Because my sin invites the discipline of God.
  3. Because the time spent in sin is forever wasted.
  4. Because my sin never pleases but always grieves God who loves me.
  5. Because my sin places a greater burden on my spiritual leaders.
  6. Because in time my sin always brings heaviness to my heart.
  7. Because I am doing what I do not have to do.
  8. Because my sin always makes me less than what I could be.
  9. Because others, including my family, suffer consequences due to my sin.
  10. Because my sin saddens the godly.
  11. Because my sin makes the enemies of God rejoice.
  12. Because sin deceives me into believing I have gained when in reality I have lost.
  13. Because sin may keep me from qualifying for spiritual leadership.
  14. Because the supposed benefits of my sin will never outweigh the consequences of disobedience.
  15. Because repenting of my sin is such a painful process, yet I must repent.
  16. Because sin is a very brief pleasure for an eternal loss.
  17. Because my sin may influence others to sin.
  18. Because my sin may keep others from knowing Christ.
  19. Because sin makes light of the cross, upon which Christ died for the very purpose of taking away my sin.
  20. Because it is impossible to sin and follow the Spirit at the same time.
  21. Because God chooses not to respect the prayers of those who cherish their sin.
  22. Because sin steals my reputation and robs me of my testimony.
  23. Because others once more earnest than I have been destroyed by just such sins.
  24. Because the inhabitants of heaven and hell would all testify to the foolishness of this sin.
  25. Because sin and guilt may harm both mind and body.
  26. Because sins mixed with service make the things of God tasteless.
  27. Because suffering for sin has no joy or reward, though suffering for righteousness has both.
  28. Because my sin is adultery with the world.
  29. Because, though forgiven, I will review this very sin at the Judgment Seat where loss and gain of eternal rewards are applied.
  30. Because I can never really know ahead of time just how severe the discipline for my sin might be.
  31. Because my sin may be an indication of a lost condition.
  32. Because to sin is not to love Christ.
  33. Because my unwillingness to reject this sin now grants it an authority over me greater than I wish to believe.
  34. Because sin glorifies God only in His judgment of it and His turning of it to good use, never because it is worth anything on it's own.
  35. Because I promised God he would be Lord of my life.
