The importance of cell groups among us..
Back to the topic cell groups, church life involves a lot more community life, hopsitality and friendship than a meeting once a week on a Friday can provide.
I believe cell groups are one of the place where people can grow in their faith towards the Lord. The same goes that I dont beieve where people says so-and-so useless or nothing he/she can do to help us. I believe everyone has their own talents and goods. Therefore, cell group is an opportunity for people to use their gifts and abilities. It is in cell groups that they can learn how to seeks their own gifts and abilities and modify it as a tool to serve the Lord.Acts 2:46-47 - Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Looking after one another. Cell is an opportunity to share friendship and care for each other. We can't know everyone in HG(I mean well), but everyone can have deep and long lasting friendships within cell groups whenever the sharings goes around and when we're praying for each other's needs. Cell gives us a period of time where we can interact with people freely and easily where us, Malaysian wouldnt really bothers about others but ourselves. sounds familiar huh.. *winks* ^_- So, it is also an opportunity to encourage each other as we live as witnesses to what Jesus has done in our lives and too, will be praying for and seeking to encourage us with our families, our friends and our school life.
As the cell groups grow stronger in faith and in unity, I believe in the future, we as a new generation will make a difference in the community by setting a well-build and strong church. Or even when we leave HG and go to some other places, we'll be well-equipped and know that we're not alone, not only God will be there for us, but our cell group members(or church members) will be there for us too(In the sense of encouragements, accountability or spiritual guidance).
Never forget that cell groups also teaches us in practicing L.O.V.E where we are taught to love God, love one another and also love those who are ouside church. "love only mar.. How hard can it be??" Ops..?! Did I heard someone said that?? It's always easy saying but hard in doing, so, start practising it now in your cell groups.
And one of the most important thing in cell group meetings is to be submissive to your leader. Being a leader is never easy but it carries a great responsible and task on his/her own. I would encourage all of you, HG-ites to be cooperative to your leader. Maybe some decisions he/she made doesnt sounds logic to you, try giving opinion of yours, but, dont forget that make it a friendly discussion/sharing. And if your options are being rejected, do not feel offended and always remember that cell group activities are meant to be a group event where you guys have to learn how to figure things out together. As I mentioned earlier, be friendly, be nice and yes, be sporting.
That's all for now I guess, hope these thoughts of mine will give some input to you guys. I know this post is rather long, but.. haha.. Thanks for reading it all the way till here. And yea~ All the best to all the cell groups in the upcoming drama competition~!! ^^
[Ps : Do give some feedback in your opinion on what and how can we make our cell groups better in HG ^^]

Too Busy for a Friend...
One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'
Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'
'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'
Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.
If you're 'too busy' to take those few minutes right now to think about your friendship with those around you, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a difference in your relationships?
Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.
May Your Day Be Blessed As Special As You
Why Did Jesus Fold The Napkin.
Why did Jesus fold the napkin.......
We sometimes overlook things in the Bible which seem small and insignificant, but always remember that God's word is Spirit and life, every single detail matters. =) God never stops amazing me.
WHY DID JESUS FOLD THE NAPKIN ? ? ?
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved.
She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside.
He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Is that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.
The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished.
Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers and mouth with that napkin and toss it on to the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.' But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, 'I'm not finished yet.' The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'
Be blessed

HiS G3n3RaTiON - 21st MaRcH 2008
This week's His Generation was a great one...We started our day with helping sister Julia in the Children's Ministry...it was very nice to see kids enjoying themselves worshiping and praising God...with their cute and sharp cheers just reminds me of my younger, younger, younger time where everything was about fun...haha...Some of them i think still don't really know about what christianity is and some may know a little bit of it, but its okay, its just the perfect start for them...Praise Lord that this children have the chance to know him so early...
Well, after the children ministry, the musicians of His Generation started their worship practice...this weeks worship leader>>>Sister Julia!!!! this week we lack of musicians, Jeffery went to KL to buy his new Ephiphone guitar 0_O and we also do not have a bassist...but still, music and everything were going well...
Even though todays attendance was not really really encouraging but the spirit was still with us...the passion for worship was still strong...
Thank Lord cause most people will think wat brings the passion for worship is the way the band play but today we prove it wrong...worship is not how well a band play nor how good are the musicians but its how each of our hearts are with during the worship...If our hearts is to worship, surely the presence of the holy spirit will be with us...
After the worship, as we were told previously that this week there will be a bible game. I wasn't really sure also bout the game but after Julia had gave us the details and briefing, man it was fun...it cracks ur head and also make u sweat!
We are devided into our cell groups and we were suppose to name our group, Caleb's group was "The Fantastic Five" (so copy paste one lolz) and willert group was "j^3WC" why this name?? cause at that time only five of us so Jim, Joshua and June>J^3 and Willert>W and Christina>C...haha like no other name liao...and finally Lucas's group, "Anonymous"
Each group will be given same question or clues from Julia and the group will discuss to find out the answer...once the group had figured out the answer, group members must run to a point where they need to find the alphabets...only one alphabet can be taken at one time and the wining group is the group that can complete the words the fastest...there about 20 types of questions which really keeps you running non stop ^^...the videos will explain much more better lolz...
Overall it was a really fun game, much more fun that what i had expected :) and at the end of the day, the winning team was "Anonymous" and second goes to "The Fantastic Five" and third was "J^3WC"... Everyone had a really blessed day and i believe everyone had fun...See u guys next week :)

Wh3N I SaY "I'm A ChRiSTiAN"
H3 WiLL BriNG YoU ThRoUGh iT!!!!
A well-known speaker
started off his seminar by:
holding up a $20.00
bill In the room of 200, he asked, 'Who would like this $20 bill?'
Hands started going up.
He said, 'I am going to give this
$20 to one of you
but first, let me
do this.
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill .
He then asked, 'Who
still wants it?'
Still the hands
were up in the air.
Well, he
replied, 'What if I do this?'
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
'Now, who still wants it?'
Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it
because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives,
we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt
by the decisions we make and
the circumstances that come
our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has
happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased,
priceless to those who
DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know,
but by WHO WE ARE and
WHOSE WE ARE.
You are special
-
Don't EVER forget it.'
If you do not pass
this on, you may never know the
lives it touches, the
hurting hearts it speaks to,
or the hope that it can bring.
Count your blessings,
not your problems.
'And remember:
amateurs built the ark ....
professionals built the Titanic.
If God brings you to
it - He will bring you through it.

TRiBuT3!!!!!
Pastor Koshy also never gave us up in his prayer, during your most down time, he's always there praying for you.. He truly gave me perhaps us a lot of encouragements and guts to held on to our believes and press on in life. I believe he is not here bu coincident, but I believe God is using him in someway to make a different in this town just as he had helped in our walk with the Lord these few years. The caring and responsible personality in him even draw a cooler outline of him. Remembering one of the time when we either had our camp or trip to somewhere, though he really had a bad asthma attack, still he press on and followed us throughout the journey.
