HG Update: 24th April 2009

Yo guys!! Sorry for late update..This week, worship was lead by me!! Sang 4 songs that is Blessed be your name, Hosanna, Treasure, and Amazed...Thanks June for back up singing and playing the piano. Thanks Kent, Chester, Jason and Ivan for playing too!! Really appreciate it..

Ok, now the main topic that pastor shared for this week. Well, pastor talks about commiting adultery. In the bible, Exodus 20:14 states that you shall not commit adultery. Adultery is a sin, a very serious sin which affected the whole world. Hmm, the defination for adultary is having a sexual relationship with other women after you're married while for unmarried couples, its called fornication.

We need to deal with this sins in our life. Why? Because this sin is really addictive for both man and women. So we need to always seek for forgiveness and repent from our sins.

The full explaination for Exodus 20:14 is in the book of Leviticus 18:1-29(the whole chapter) . Pls do read ya..

After the sermon, we end our session with a word of prayer which was prayed by pastor. Then we have a short time talking and cleaning the instrument. After 30 min, we leaved the church..Everything went well this week, thank God!!

You Will Never Look at KFC The Same way Again!!!

For a food freak like me, I never thought such a video can leave me so emotionally drained and dazed.

I couldn't even bring myself to watch the whole video. It shows what a jerk I am for eating large portions of food like a pig without saying grace. I even grumble whenever there is no chicken or pork dish. I even refuse to eat certain type of fish.

Although the children in the video were smiling because they could get "ta pau-ed" food, I was left near tears. Now, my mind is totally blank and I'm left speechless. At the end, the father who collects the food stops his child from eating and bowed his head in prayer.

How humble these people are. Even with food that should be eaten by rats, vermin and stray dogs, these people still thanked God. I ate good food everyday and refuse to thank God.

I really don't know what to say although I'm digging my brain. I think God is going to teach us something in this video. Let me know what you learn and feel via Chatbox.

Thank You.

HG Update: 3rd April 2009

Oh man...Sorry guys for the late update...I was so busy with my school works...anyway here's the update for this week. We started around 4.10 and the worship session was lead by June!! Thanks for worship leading June. The songs she led was Glory, My redeemer lives, Dalam kasihMu bapa, Here I am to worship. Thank you Ivan, Jason, Kent and Christina for playing the instrument and back up singing..

After worshipping, we prayed for all the alumni of His Generation...We also prayed for Wayne!!! He accepted christ which was led by Abang Teo...Congrats Wayne!!

Soon, pastor show us the way to pray for healing. The steps are :-
- gently place your hands on his/her head
- Declare that God will heal him/her
- Then rebuke the sickness with a firm voice

After that, pastor gave us a bookmark. It was designed by Jacob from GEPC.. Thanks dude!! By the way, to all members of HG, remember to memorise the 10 commandments =)
Then pastor shared about the 6th commandment that is you shall not kill (Exodus 20:13). We might think that killing a person is like taking a knife or a sharp object and start stabbing a person until he/she is dead but there are many other ways of killing a person such as backstabbing, gossiping, cursing, character assasination, blaming others for your mistake, judging people by his/her looks, isolating people who are ugly or fat and
criticsizing people before they got a chance to prove themselves.

We as christians should not do all these things because it can bring down a person. If we did all these sins, we really need to seek for forgiveness from God and repent from it. Soon, we ended our session at 6.30. Thanks pastor for the sermon..really appreciate it!!
